The Hamlet is an ancient hunting house of the Medici, renovated with care in every detail, entirely made of stone, are divided into two buildings, with a large park, partly dedicated to individual homes and partly available to all customers. The atmosphere is that of a comfortable and refined farmhouse, with elegantly furnished rooms that meet the Tuscan tradition, a large park, and a swimming pool with sun terrace that faces the Bilancino Lake.

At Borgo La Fratta you can spend days relaxing in the comfortable apartments, in the garden or poolside in front with a superb panorama of Bilancino Lake. Alternatively, from the holiday home you can visit the main towns of Tuscany and all the artistic centre of Mugello. Florence is just 20 km, Lucca 60 km, Siena 75 km, Pisa 70 km, San Gimignano 50 km, Volterra 70 km, Bologna 50 km.

The rural area is near Florence and allows our guests to spend the rest of the day and then by the stunning tranquillity of Mugello. In the area, there are opportunities for shopping (Designer Outlet), sports facilities (Poggio dei Medici Golf Club, the Mugello International racecourse), and nature trails for hiking.

The property covers three hectares and is entirely fenced, guests can stay in relax, sunbathe, walk, see the animals of the Apennines, cooking on wood stove in stone, make picnic and let the children play in complete safety.

You can rent mountain bikes for pleasant strolls along the lake or admire the beautiful landscape that lead to Castle Trebbio. Near the village Fratta you can rent canoes and windsurfing on the lake to live in a relaxing and pleasant. From summer 2009 the accomodation will open the multipurpose room that faces the lake, where you can reserve the organized special dinner (etruscan dinner, medieval dinner and traditional dinner) and also the new gym.
